Scrutiny is taunting the Cairo elite.
Since the January 25 revolution, politicians and business men have had to deal with resentment. It is no surprise that musicians, and actors have had their fans turn on them based on their political ties.
Cairo watchdogs should mark June 2nd as it will hail the return of one of Egypt's prominent superstars - Amr Diab!
Amr Diab performed the first live concert since the revolution. His concert took place in the American University in Cairo (AUC) utilizing the latest sound technologies, and the stage will be one of the largest ever seen, with only 5000 attendees to keep up quality.
Did Diab's fans stay loyal as ever, or did the January 25 revolution mark a change in the Egyptian Ricky Martin's adoring fan base?
Diab should garner some good will from his offer to donate a portion of the proceedings to various charities and organizations. Will it work?
