So it appears not everyone is as excited for Shakira and Amr Diab as Abu Dhabi and Lebanon.

In Morrocco, people are holding protests in demand of cancelling the Mawazeer Festival and instead distribute the budget among poor families. Even though Shakira apparently annouced that she would perform for free.

The people claim they would prefer the budget designated for the festival to help feed the poor instead. Essentially, they would prefer food over Shakira and Amr Diab. That sounds like a decent enough request.
