We all remember when Dubai real estate group Nakheel announced the launch of their super project "The world," a bunch of islands off the cost of Dubai, in the shape of the continents of the world...

We also all remember when that project came to a halt due to the financial crisis, well now it's actually disappearing!

The man made islands are sinking back into the sea, which is posing as a problem for all the investors who have already bought islands, that we're being positioned as one of the most luxurious pieces of property in the world!

The owning company Nakheel, claim that the lawsuits brought against them by the angry owners of properties are erroneous and there is no basis for the claims...According to them they project will continue and be completed.

We think the whole project has received enough bad press, and to be honest doesn't seem all that interesting anymore!
