We have an announcement Cairo, we told you it was coming...S&H has changed hands to new management.

Under the new management's rules, S&H will be doing the following to improve itself...

Starting January 15^th, the site will no longer, under any circumstance, allow negative comments (that means no insults against fellow society members, people in the posts, etc...) This site is no longer a vehicle for frustration and hate relief (which it unfortunately turned into), but for comments, constructive criticism, and feedback.

We truly value your opinion Cairo and want you to help us dictate what’s hot and what's not, which is why we love your comments, opinions, and feedback. We unlike other blogs and outlets have never been swayed or bought out by others, but have always given our full on opinion, hopefully giving real insight to all the those reading...we will be sure to continue to do this!

We will also be featuring new writers (along with some of our old staff) and are looking for more freelancers (PAID!), so contact us for details.

Cairo, get ready for a new Scene & Heard!

You wont allow people to leaves negative comments. Bad move, Comment sections exits to carry the torch of internet snide. Look at sites like Gawker, their lively and colorful comments under each story is what keeps people for coming back.

Plus, by now everyone knows that blog comments are meaningless at best. Two cents and a half.

@Anon w the dirty mouth: clearly Im not the one w a bad mouthing and rudeness issues. Unlike you, I can make my point w/o resorting to such words, usually resorted to by those who lack on logic and the ability to present proper arguments to support their point of view. S&H, and will the bad bad language in the Anon post warrant it to be banned or is this protection available to ur friends only?!!!
This idea that ppl shld only write positive comments is stupid and reveals a need of gratification on the side of s&h and those mentioned in their posts. None of those mentioned are imp ppl for humanity, they just matter to ppl like you and wtever gets posted about them is pr in the end and isnt this the whole idea behind s&h?!

Instead of censoring ur readers, grow some balls and allow us to express ourselves as we wish, isnt it enough that u r cowards who do not allow any comments relating to issues important to our country?!!

You can not sensor your followers I do agree that people are haters sometimes however if you are going to be progressive then the last thing you need is more free speech censorship Egypt this is a bad move if people are in the public eye they take the good with the bad. Paris Hilton's family never try to censor people when their daughter does ALL of the Hot Mess things she does they just get there p.r people to do their job. If the Cairo elite are mad @ what's being said on here then they should up their Public Image in a good way. Constructively I will loose all respect for you guys, maybe the old management should start another blog or better yet not sell out. This blog sounds like it will just turn into another tool for the Gustapo sad. why bother reading something if You can't give your honest opinion?

They did not say they are censoring your thoughts, or that you will not be able to express your real opinion. They did say "constructive criticism".. so instead of saying for example that band is a group of mother ^&$%#@... this band is needs to improve their choice of tunes, or perhaps choose a different vocalist. You'll see whatever u wanna say but without the hatred and foul language.. coz apparently many people have a problem with expressing disagreement without being offensive...
