What's the most annoying thing about our city? THE TRAFFIC.
So how would you feel if there were a SOLUTION? Wait, what? Yeah, we said it.
According to recent news, there are plans for a supertram to connect the new AUC campus with the capital's subway network.
The new supertram is planned to be launched by 2015 and will cost an estimated LE 5 Billion (part of which will be financed by the World Bank).
The supertram's 8 cars will cover over 40 km of Cairo and is expected to serve almost 250,000 passengers a day. It will be the first means of public transportation within New Cairo for AUC and GU students.
With all of the developments in the 5th settlement, it's about time for some decent transportation for the residents and students!
