Scene & Heard Interview with Heidi Murkoff

Not to alienate all our readers, as we're sure not all of you are going out partying and getting drunk there is more to life like families, friends etc...

So we're pleased to bring you this interview! Heidi Murkoff, is the bestselling international author of the What to expect series..

As most of you may or may not know Heidi, her husband and her manager were invited to come to Egypt awhile back for the launch of Pampers Premium care for a book signing and a seminar with 100 VIP Egyptian mothers.

We caught up with the author after her whirlwind tour...visiting the Pyramids, Khan El Khalili and the Museum which is the norm...but dining at Abou El Sid, Le Tarboush, Fish Market and partying at Johnny’s...seems like a woman who wanted to get to know our Egypt better...

S&H got to ask her a couple questions, and this is what she had to say about her visit

  • Egyptian Mothers.. tell us your views and impressions

Mothers everywhere are the same, but one advice I would like to give Egyptian mothers is: CHILL and RELAX!

  • Obviously your family has a great effect on you..

I started writing my books when I was expecting Emma, my beautiful daughter and learned it as I went along! She is a beauty and fashion blogger and writer… Wyatt is a shy character and a musician… and I consider myself lucky to have a great husband like Erik

  • What did you find in Egypt that you did not expect

This was my first visit to Egypt, and I LOVED IT! People here are huggers, and I was very happy with this, because I am a hugger myself! The people are very nice, friendly and helpful, and I consider myself lucky to have met such great people. And the food! I could not say enough! Me and Erik enjoy exotic foods, and we had a blast experimenting with the cuisine here in Egypt. My favorite ofcourse was the quail.

  • When are you coming back?

As soon as someone invites me back!
