Dear S&H,

I just moved to Cairo and it seems like everyone is so clique-ish here. It's hard to make friends because it seems that everyone is so comfortable with their groups and aren't very welcoming to newcomers. I know Egyptians are really friendly people but it seems that this class is friendly to those that they know, is that just me? I really want to make some good friends but it's kind of intimidating to attempt to join groups of people that have grown up together.

Any tips on how to survive in this Egyptian "Gossip Girl" world?
