NO, simply cause the Louvre is not that old....
and who told you it would be a "ka3et 7afalat" ???? and believe me many people around the world ties the knot in famous historic places, Natural History Museum (LONDON) for example offers wedding ceremonies......

before blaming foreigners for disrespecting our monuments (though ive never seen a tourist writing on a wall "A7mad bey7eb MOna"), our beloved "peuple Egyptien" should FIRST know how to protect and watch over the country, unfortunately most of Egyptians don't care for such things and don't know their value,

@The Anon defending this shameful act: No one ties the knot inside the Louvre bec they wont be allowed. Sure, some "iconic" venues here in the U.K. offer this opportunity but if you bothered to check, they do so only at a banquet room/area not at stonehenge for example. Our ancient Egyptian monuments are far more precious and more ancient than all these spots combined, so no comparison here. Point is, this is not the first time that rules are bent for a VIP to be allowed to use our own venues. Some yrs ago, rules were twisted to allow a certain NDPIan friends with you know who to hold his wedding at one of our historic palaces. In a country were a normal citizen wont be allowed the same exception and where we keep on having valuable items stolen/disappearing, we cant afford to allow this. You spoke about other Egyptians not doing enough to protect and watch over the country. Great, what about you, what have you done to protect and watch over the country? do you think any of us commenting and outraged about this, wrote on temple walls for e.g.?!! This is just a reflection to the line of thought of those running the country now, every thing has a price and could be put up for rent/ or sale. Point is neither they, nor Zahi Hawas, or you, own what you are so happy to rent away. I agree with the writer using "whoring" in reference to this act and with the last comment about those with "3o2det el 7'awaga". Naomie is one of the former super models, I like her modelling style but she is no body along w her husband when compared to our own temples and no I dnt see them as wedding venues but as places to be shared with humanity to witness and learn about those who once cherished this country and achieved something great. Im sure ppl with your mentality wouldnt be able to achieve something similar bec of this mentality of yours.

Last but not least, its not up to some official to decide to turn a historical place into a wedding venue, the fact that some idiots exploit their money and connections to hold weddings at historical palaces doesnt make it alright. No, I refuse to attend weddings in publicly owned palaces and also I dnt attend events at the Pyramids. Great, wt did you do when you saw ppl doing that at the Pyramids, NOTHING. Weddings may not be celebrate in the Louvre but fashion shows are. Concerts are thrown at the pyramids, opera's at karnak, so why not a ceremony. i dont see the harm. It is certainly less harmfull than the millions of tourists who visit the temples each year. Therefore any event could be held in archeological sites as long as it does not harm the monuments. It is for experts to decide. And at the end of the day any publicity is good publicity.

Comparing Karnak to Louvre just shows how ignorant the person making this comment must be.This attitude that all for sale/rent is what is actually bothers me the most. Egypt and Karnak do not need the publicity coming from a troubled former super model. Sure, leave it to the experts since they have been doing an amazing job in preserving our national heritage, thats why we have just had that painting stolen and another huge statute taken out from a museum in Sinai, all in a matter of 2 months, amazing performance by the so-called experts. So, how much are those experts getting paid to approve this? To the idiots saying this happens every where, a)when you compare, choose venues that are as ancient, none of those referred to here are as ancient and do not have the same historical or archeological importance and b)its not about money, just think, if this was a wedding of a Royal family from the Gulf, Im sure you wouldnt have posted the same opinions and c)go and try to get a permit to get married at Stonehenge for example, good luck with that.

Idiot, if it was about money, Im sure there are Egys and Arabs who could afford it, MONEY ISNT THE ISSUE. Its not only them, if you cared to read on the news about this, before you come here and showcase your ignorance, youd know they have invited a lot of guests and reporters.
