While the majority of Egypt's English is in the gutter, we have to admit that a good chunk of our society has a really great command of the English language. Whether it be a result of excellent schooling, western adaptations, shows, whatever...we admit that people grasp the language quite well, that is, until forced to only speak English.

Have you ever noticed that sometimes you find yourself speaking Engrabic and it affects your fluency? You might notice it when leaving Egypt or forced to only speak English to someone who doesn't understand any Arabic. We speak English, but we tend to ignore the fact that we throw in a lot of Arabic into the conversation, so when forced to sping ONLY English fluenty...ever find yourself throwing in a "ya3ni" or a "bas" or even a slight accent on certain words?

We also have tendencies to speak "bee2a" English as a joke with one another, don't deny it. Zis and Zat as a joke here and there starts to get stuck! You then find yourselves throwing in random bee2a Englsh and shock yourself.

We can't deny that even when we speak English here we tend to slow down and enunciate so that people can understand us, some speak British English and others speak American English...but as much as you want to deny it, we all speak Engrabic.
