Check out one of our guest writers' review of Apple's recent developments, including a new social networking scene!

Apple has created quite the buzz in the last several days since its Special Event on September 1, 2010 by introducing several and unveiling the new iPod lineup, Apple TV and iTunes 10. For computer geeks and Apple lovers everywhere, it was a great day.

Apple also now enters the social networking scene with the addition of Ping and Game Center to iTunes 10...yet another social network! Ping allows you to follow your favorite artists and friends, opening up the channels to discover new music to talk about and listen to. The new upgrade to iTunes 10 comes with a new look and icon, which has received some slack by ditching the cd, but most importantly it’s new feature, AirPlay. Airplay creates a streaming wireless connect between iOS devices and speakers .

One of these iOS devices is the new Apple TV that everyone's been talking about. Apple TV offers a rental-and-stream only system that allows the rental of movies and television shows to stream starting at $0.99 - not too shabby! Apple has even opened up to competitor content services such as Netflix, allowing to stream material from them.  They will also release new updates to the iPhone next week, and an iOS 4.2 update in November to finally bring iOS 4 to the iPad. They plan to update with more integrated remote app for the Apple TV, and allow all iOS devices to connect on a network for seamless media between all the devices. What's more? The new iPod line includes a return of the button feature to the iPod shuffle, a much changed iPod nano with a new touch screen, an iOS4 updates along with HD recording cameras to the iTouch. The iTouch will also include a front camera to enable FaceTime chat accessible through your iTunes ID.

Seems like the company is finding everyway possible to integrate all technologies into one another and make us completely dependant on their products --- and we are totally okay with that. We don't doubt that the Apple craze will continue as more amazing technologies come out.
