balash habal, u all said so when Starbucks opened its first store here in Egypt, and ordered people to boycott....and from what we hear every time im in London, that their policy had been changed due to these political issues......
u should not blame Egypt for this, u should turn those words to Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar....who are self-contradictory and playing under the tables..................

@ Last anon: Word that a certain head in Starbucks was sending donations to Israel were never proven to be all wrong btw. If they werent true, Starbucks wouldnt have had to introduce some changes. Funny enough, when Starbucks opened in Israel they failed and had to close down. Personally, I dnt buy from them in Egypt, simply bec I support Cilantro as an Egyptian brand and bec I admire how they stood up for attempts to be bought up by Starbucks when they were trying to initially enter the Egyptian market.

As for M&S, its no secret that M&S is full of Arab and Egyptian buyers. Yes this rumor is very strong in the U.K. still. Actually, a couple of year ago I remember seeing a handful of guys and girls, distributing flyers about M&S and Israeli atrocities in Palestine and they didnt seem to be of Arab origin. My real dilemma is some stuff sold at M&S and some other stores are made in Egypt, why cant we develop strong local clothing brands with the same quality?!!

The underlying issue here is that we need to find a way to at least make sure that info about whether some businesses support settlements bec as a buyer I do have the right to make sure my money isnt going to support a cause I dnt agree with. Issues such as proper indication of product source are extremely important and there was an issue in EU about products made in Israel and the EU allowing Israel to use misleading labels to show the products as EU produce.
