NO TO HYPE said...

You guys have to start Hyping these stories about people doing something different.  Just because she is probably a friend does not mean everything that person does is new and different.  For example, Flash Magazine has been doing these photo shoots in Sahel for years.  It's nothing new, it's great that someone else wants in on the action and its fine for you guys to advertise it; but don't hype it to be the "next coming" when it's already been done before.

You guys have to stop this unnecessary hype... It's totally fine if a person wants to take photo shoots in Sahel but don't hype it to be a different out take on summer or such a creative endeavour that no one has thought about before.  Flash already publishes summer photo shoots from Sahel every summer, so this really isn't a new things.  It's great that someone else wants to take part of it, but seriously there is no reason to hype it up as being the "next coming" when it really isn't.

Heba Serag is not just someone passing by with a camera in her hand to take just pictures ..she's a talented professional photographer who can take memorable shoots for a nice memory ..it's not the type of picture you will have posted in a social or a lifestyle magazine ... and that's coming from a former editor of a big lifestyle magazine. so it's not a hype .. and def something new and different .. I hope people would start to appreciate new ideas and at the end we always have the choice to like it or dislike it subjectly. please check out her professional photography work on her facebook page.

@ Samar; I am not arguing about the quality of her work and nor am I arguing about new ideas being presented and it's true that my choice to like someone's work or not is my own (which I am not trying to make here)... The only thing that bothers me is the unnecessary hype.  I understand that scene-heard is a PR tool more than anything else, but by over exaggerating what is actually being advertise makes the work itself seem secondary.  Anyways, to each their own...
