Dear S&H, 

I just got engaged to a wonderful man who I really love...but my job just offered me a promotion in another country. I know that long-distance is an option but we're engaged and starting to set up our lives and my life might be relocated and it's a great career that i've been working towards and really want this promotion. my fiance wants me to stay obviously but this is the opportunity of a lifetime and it's going to be for a few years...meaning the wedding will have to be postponed. what do you guys think I should do?

We think you need to figure out what you want more first. If you want to travel thats up to you, but if you want this relationship to work, try asking your company if you can get a promotion where you are now so you don't have to relocate, then maybe everyone is a winner!
