It's strange yet such an empowering feeling to know that some of the most powerful and influential people in the world are now from the Middle East. Ten to twenty years ago, we may have known their names in the region, but worldwide they didn't ring a bell!

For the 6th year in a row, Arabianbusiness.com has listed their annual list of the most influential arabs in the world...and get this 16 of them are Egyptian!

Of course topping the list, is HRH Prince Alwaleed and that is for obvious reasons the man is a mogul in the region....

In the number 3 spot is not only a woman, but an Egyptian Born woman...Dalia Mogahed! For those of you who don't know her she is the advisor to US President Barack Obama, and is the first Muslim Veiled woman to be appointed a senior position in the white house! (Can you feel us beaming with pride!)

Other Egyptians on the list range from Hassan Shehata, Amr Diab, Dr. Ezzat Abu Auf, Ahmed Zewail, and Shafik Gabr to name a few...
