Rumors have been floating around for awhile that London based Harrods may be up for sale, which sent waves across the region..
Is Mohamed El-Fayed selling the Knightsbridge store?
Well according to S&H's sources...NO! Although there have been many bids on the world famous retailer..Fayed has rebuffed all the offers!
The Egyptian tycoon said: “People approach us from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar. Fair enough, but I put two fingers up to them all. It is not for sale. This is not Marks & Spencer or Sainsbury. It is a special place that gives people pleasure. There is only one Mecca.”
We love the Egyptian cocky attitude and we really hope that he doesn't bail on the department store, not only do we love shopping there but we love that it's owned by one of our own!
