It’s funny as the designers and the collections you’ve mentioned all took their cues from Madonna’s long gone Gautier phase, and after all everyone knows Madonna is a huge McQueen whore.

As for the ‘lower eastside’ honey you’ve been reading way too many artist’s bio’s, liner notes and magazines. I’ve lived on Rivington Street; It’s a mélange of everything from hotdog vendors that look like Saad Elsoghayar all the way to the lead singer of Tokio Hotel. It’s just a label now that’s used to confuse people.

How dare you mention Bowie and gaga in the same sentence! Yeah she wrote those lyrics and there’s not much to them! As for the music, it is standard pop put out by the powers that be, nestled behind a mixing board and a mac! Just because her album is lauded by MTV (Viacom) proves that she is part of the ‘pop machine’ and far from what some discerning critics might deem as true art.

Ok as for art being subjective you are absolutely right. But GA-GA (imo) is the definition of pop mass commercialization. What she lacks in talent she makes up for in sensationalism, as in tasteless lyrics and sensational sound bites about her questionable gender. Wait a minute ---just yesterday CaCa admitted to snorting up a storm whilst listening to the Cure cooped up in her NYU dorm room! Oh the cycle never ends! At least she listens to good music :/……….

YES SHE IS THE ‘IT’ creature as far as sensational runway circuses are concerned. But I guess we can agree to disagree!  

As for fashion circuses nothing will ever beat McQueen’s June ’04 London show!

to the anon who was blabbing about sa3ayda and how u dont belong in egypt, im the one who thinks shes vile...I lived in egypt for a grand total of one year before we moved to Australia and I make really short visits to egypt every once in a while so can it with your sa3ayda shit cus I dont even live in the country, I have lived abroad for 19 long years and I'm pretty sure no one in the real world above the age of twelve actually think lady gaga is an artist so what does that say about you?

and to tamer timberlake. i'm glad that's your outlook on what i had to say but let me be clear about what i meant.

Art: actually lady Gaga is more like 70's inspired glamour meet david bowie, the art scene on the lower east side, pop culture and technology stimulated. If you know anything about art, art is subjective. Subjective: based on or influenced by personal feelings, tastes, or opinions. Roughly translated as: Personal or individual meaning no limits or boundaries. so basically, there is no such thing as "high art" all art is considered considered art it's not divided into stages, it's a matter of YOUR personal opinion.

Music: when you said rehashed music by same producers, that's a big no no because
a) Gaga composes and writes her own lyrics.
b) all pop music runs on the same bases, similar sounds which is why it's all grouped in a genre called Pop music, that doesn't mean it's the same. Lady Gaga has been voted to being one of the top pop artists in the world. nominated 16 times total, 4 of which are for the VMA's. her album stayed on top of the music charts for 8 weeks. Which leads me to wonder, if it's true to what ur referring to, forget everything i said, then why is it that in every club i've been to this year in europe, the states and Cairo, have i heard at least on of her songs and i'm being dead serious right now.

Fashion:  "getting on a plane dressed up like a goth wonder woman does not necessarily qualify as haute couture in my book!"

again fashion is art, which makes it subjective. fashion is all about experimenting, now just because she's not wearing jeans and a polo with a designer logo belt, that doesn't make her or "qualify her" to be an outsider in fashion. Especially couture is subjective. Have you ever seen a galliano fashion show? do you think he plays it safe? or is it just cause he's a designer? fashion is a cult. you're either in it or you're not. you can't be on the borderline which in my opinion doesn't really make you relevant because in the fashion world Lady Gaga is kind of a f*ing big deal. You wanna know what Gaga means in the fashion world?

Think Ghesquière meet Maison Martin Margiela and Alexander Mqueen Circa fall 2008 a little bit inspired by tisci's leathers from his fall line meet the whole futuristic Britney spears look on a new level.  

now love her or hate her, you still ended up going to her show because "your job required you to" now what do you do again? clearly it's something decent  since they exposed you to shows like her.

Lastly, i'm not throwing gas into the fire or trying to  make you agree with me, i'm just trying to prove what i meant since clearly since it was misconceived. and if i could make you and all the others realize that some people have their own opinions which you don't have to judge or criticize.

p.s. to the australian dude, 12 years old? lol...that's probably why u got so offended about sa3ayda.
