Well, ramadan has nothing to do with fizzy drinks, the beach, so called movie or tv stars. Its really silly reading how in a month that is like no other in the year this is what concerns some.

hmmm dunno but if one were to choose between pepsi's 'it boy' ahmed miki or kareem, i would say kareem wins hands down. with his authentic 'ibn el ballad' mannerisms he definitely exudes 'ramadan gathering.'

as for mr miki he's ingeniously marketed towards a crowd of tweens to 30 somethings, who can't quite speak english yet smoked to much pot to master arabic so they end up speaking a mediocre combination of both.

Mekki is in his early thirties people, and yes Him and Fishawy go back, dunno about the DC part, but he certainly looks the part...

And he represents a whole bunch of us that really havent been understood, or even identified but for me to get my point across - and no, no, dont judge me as a stereotypical old money meets new money kinda person- i guess the following pretty much sums it up for ya

Mekki represents shabab Maadi Zamalek n old school benjis, who generally suffer from the not so old school people who surround them and get on their nerves, maybe even taking their spaces..

Kareem represents madinet nasr style.. yet ppl who have the convenience and means to spend Ramadan in Marina 6, his ibn balad antics just send you down one way.. we as welad balad have a right to be scene and heard just like the old school ones

they represent different crowds and whats funny is now theyre representin diffrnt drinks..do you think this brand differentiation for cola v pepsi  old $$$ vs. new $$$ was intended ?
