PEOPLE!!! Amr Diab was kicked out of Andrea not coz of his age but bcoz the famous Faten Hammama held out a lunch in his honor and he never showed up.....and Omar Rateb absolutely adores Faten Hammama....and u can guess the rest ba'a and i dont think that rateb actually molested the kid!!!!

How come if the same comments were made about one of ur so called self proclaimed friends we get the stop hating on them comments but w Amr diab its all ok?! Im not a fan of his character but the man is the top pop star in MENA, like it or not. For any lounge/bar etc to do that its either their policy that they never change for any one and that I doubt or they are being insulting to him and I believe that was what went down. If any thing that should make Amr diab and others think twice before visiting another country or entertainment venues in other countries instead of their national ones. Put ur money only where ull be respected.
As for the rateb thing, if there was really an incident he should be exposed. Nothing worse than a person of powerful status (money,etc) trying to use someone who works for him/her for his/her own sexual benefits.

firstly, who does amr diab think he is?! just cus he's a superstar who broke through globally doesnt give him the right to think he's all that and may i remind people, what superstar goes on stage two hours late saying, mish kwayes eny an geit aslan, ana mish shaghal 3andoko, as if he's doing the people a favour?! secondly, yes it would happen in cairo, exactly like how omar rateb did it to amr two years ago in andrea, although, to back amr diab up, no he's not to old for the andrea crowd, most of the andrea crowd are parents, it's not marassi!  Besides, amr diab probably though just cus he's a celebrity he can go to sky bar in beirut without a reservation?! i think they had every right to reject him, who would they ahve to pull strings on other people's accounts?! imagine if you were the person who they were gonna take the reservation from to give it to amr diab, how pissed would you be?

amr diab's infectious melodies have been usurp by at least 7  european countries including greece and turkey! his voice has been piped into LEGENDARY dance clubs all over the world! unlike current 'arab' pop artists (other than the north african/french crowd) he has broken through globally.

I second above anon YEAH he's a PRICK! but i sense some surreptitious cattiness involved with this skybar incident!

all in all not 'cool' on the owners/door people's part! there is a fine line between exclusive/chic and rude!

The problem with ppl like this is that they (yes, you anon) put too much weight on what should be small things like 'skybar' and the word 'escalade' so the moment someone says 'i remember having done this or had a good time seeing that' it strikes a nerve 3andahom and they automotically shoot away. Yes ive been there, and to the vip, and you know what, it wasnt even that great. lol.. your sad. sorry for that rant, but this new attitude some people have that everything is 3eib and hush and shush drives me nuts... ugh. lolllll skybar??? They let anyone in as long as tehy drive fancy cars!! im so surprised at this, i got in last summer, no reservation, almost got vip as well, but decided the vip costs too much and isnt worth it. All cuz i knew a manager and came in a friends escalade. llol i am soooooooo surprised. Suxx. honestly i think he could BUY skybar lol. oh well. You know what though, i havent had as good a time anywhere in Egypt as skybars leb. If there is a place that compares fi om el donya, i would love to hear about it!!!
