Last year babies...this year dogs! It seems like every summer, there's a new trend on the beaches of sahel. Last year, we noticed that everyone was dressing up their babies in the cutest (and some not-so-cute) designer beachwear...this year, everyone seemed to remember they had a dog and brought them to the beach.

Cynics...wait for it...

We want to point out something though, people have been bringing their kids and pets to the beach since the beginning of time and it's fun to sit and play with them, but what we are commenting on is how people turn it into a trend by showing them off or to grab your attention. It seems people are using them as accessories and conversation starters.

Every other Egyptian Socialite seems to think they are Paris Hilton (sometimes following celebrity trends is tacky!)
