One of our favorite DJ's has made headlines! DJ Amr Hosny is not just a DJ apparently but so much more, according to the Daily News.

"Amr Hosny is a jack of all trades, and master of many. An events planner and one of the most sought after DJâ€™s in Cairo, Hosny restores classic cars, reviving the old tired bodies of once luxurious and iconic automobiles."

I was really over awed by the wonderful article the Daily News wrote about my interest in classic cars and the very positive response I have received regarding this subject.
I always hold that 2009 is a golden year for Egypt where we are beginning to realize the many great aspects of this country - the number of hidden classics being one of them.

On the other hand I was saddened to read that the site where Giza Zoo now stands is to be sold to "investors". There is no doubt the animals there need a new environment but can we at least maintain some greenery rather than add to our concrete jungle

I think these old luxurious cars are hideos though.. i've seen a few 1930 white convertible Mercedeses hanging around zamalek.. YUCK!
