Lebanon is starting off the summer with a kick! They're hosting a bunch of summer festivals and concerts with bands such as legendary British bands Deep Purple and Jethro Tull.
The first festival opened on Saturday night with an open-air concert by Canadian musician Loreena McKennitt, who sang against a backdrop of Phoenician ruins in the ancient port of Byblos north of Beirut.
Jethro Tull will be performing in Byblos as well on July 19th and Deep Purple will play Baalbek on July 25.
These festivals are tradition but are usually called off during political crises.
The Lebanese have always been known to have a good time and even in difficult times, manage to dust themselves off, get back up and party! ;)
