Welll s&h if ull allow pro-drinking posts and ones which wrongly makes it an issue of religions and minorities then u shld allow replies to that as well, might no suit ur personal choice bas u shldnt apply cencorship, u knw claiming to be modern n all. To the comment re history of beer/alcohol yes all civilizations had breweries and drinking was allowed  by religion until a certain moment when it became forbidden. No religion allows fornication & waste of money and time and possible addiction, all thins made highly possible thanks to alcohol So, like it or not its not acceptable in the public eye &why an already open society resort to what reserved west use to open up?!!!

Now, since u got personal & i was simply making a point on a topic let me ask u, do u knw me to assume things about me? Unlike u i dnt need alcohol to feel good about myself, open up to others or to have sex ( which is btw all legit since im happily married). Also, why would u assume I was tying sex to drinking?(is that how u see it in ur mind or may be that what actually happened to u?!!) Loads of violance happens bec someone or several were drunk. Not to mention the health risks. Now, the real sad thing is why do u feel the need to drink to have a good time? As said by a German friend its amazing that Egyptians have fun and dance all night w/o a drink.Finally  like it or not, being into drinking in our society is generally unacceptable for cultural as well as religious reasons.

1. Islam & Christianity  is not a culture. They are religions.
2. I know very well that the first beer which is called “hqt” comes from Egypt. It was produced with the rests of the old bread. Beer and Bread were the most important sources of energy for Egyptians (we are the only culture who call Bread= life = 3esh which comes from 3yesh)! And I wish that we Egyptians knew how to produce beer in our own way!
3. But what I meant is that in our culture (not related to relgion) it was not consumed to celebrate . Unlike in the Roman culture were alcohol was the must be beverage for celebrations! Contrary to this In Egyptian culture beer was a drink for gods, kids, women, men in their daily life like tea today. So what I mean is that we never in the history mixed up parties with getting drunj!
That’s why I was referring to poor neighborhoods in Egypt who celebrate while drinking beer (Stella) and have fun without getting drunk. Vodka, Jacky, etc. is a different type of alcohol, an industrialized one. Not related to what the humans from our regions are historically used to. And if you ask Europeans why they drink in clubs they will tell you "to be more open and better in socializing" Middle Eastern in general by their nature are open and socialize without drinking
4.Dont use Christian and Moslems. I was not forbidding alcohol or denying that it has routes in our country.

First of we are not friends. Second fornication has a wider meaning in religion and there are anumber of things that will be considered fornication even if you dnt actually do it. Putting the religieous meaning aside, while yes in dictionaries fornication means doing it, in reality the issue isnt 100% bec for example would having oral sex would qualify as fornication? Im well aware of wt i wrote, i mentioned fornication as well as other problems, why did u get hungup on sex and became personal and used it to insult me is the issue here and if it reflects any thing it shows how u and not me view things. I didnt  tell any one to do or to not do any thing, i was simply replying to ur so called history lesson which was pointless and to  comments making it about religion. The point remains, why would a person need a drink to have fun? Or to open up in a society where we dnt have the same personal boundries they have in other societies? Finally, dnt take things too personal now we are only stating individual opinions here so, calm down and take ur hate somewhere else.

Don't want to drag out the religion thing but while Christianity and Islam are religions there is also a cultural aspect to them, expressed in art and architecture for example, and even fashion (see the latest S&H post)

there was a first fight between guys inside the grad.. however it ended in 2 minutes and everyone kept dancing!!! the music was really good!
the second fight was outside when the grad finished so who gives a shit who it was.. as long as they didnt ruin the party!!

Egyptian culture is not just Islamic. You seem to be forgetting that ancient Egyptians were among the first in the world to brew beer, and that a sizeable percentage of todays Egyptians are Christians, whose culture alcohol certainly is a part of.
