1. Farouk El Baz teached at least 12 Egyptian scintists within his career in the USA.. 12 Egyptian phd students who work with him and who returned to Egypt!
2. Mustafa El Sayad who several month ago was honored by George Bush for his innovation in treating tumors. He came to Egypt and he established a state of the art research department in Cairo!! They say that this research centre is unique in the world in this field!!!!
3. dozens of other Egyptian scintists in the west come to Egypt and support it

now to Ahmed Zewil.. He has NO Egyptian phd student in his department. He did not establish a research centre in Egypt. He simply did nothing! He just came to have some speaches..but thats all

I admire you nationalism, but calling OUR distinguished NOBEL LAUREATE a TRAITOR is a little beyond the pale. he commands and deserves respect from all of us. it is not everyday that we get a noble laureate----and in CHEMISTRY nonetheless.

you need to 'chill out' some people are very private when it comes to their work and their lives. just because "Ahmose" is not aware of DR. Zewils contributions shouldn't make you prejudge him and treat him with disdain!

this shining beacon of a man chose to LEAVE the united states after winning the prize to help his country of birth overcome its wont. to his misfortune he was greeted with obstacle red tape and nepotism!!!

he is a man of science and  jumped on a chance to use his skillset somewhere, instead of watching himself wither away and become a casualty of stagnation!

I love, support and I am proud of any Egyptian who is good for Egypt and I believe that every Egyptian who got the chance to enjoy a better climate (better education, better social standard) has to add value to Egypt in return.

If this designer basbousa goes to Oxford Fashion week and IF she promotes our country than I AM PROUD. and when Amr Diab at the Cannes Music awards said "this award is for my country EGYPT" than he made me proud because he represents us.

And if Ahmed Zewil did something for Egypt than great.. if not than in my understanding he does not deserve any respect..
