Dear S&H,

My boyfriend and I decided to go on a break, but now I hear he's seeing other people. We never agreed to this, but he says it's his right. Obviously I'm not okay with this but his friends are backing him up, saying that a break is a break and he needs to make sure I'm the one. That sounds kind of insulting, right? My girlfriends agree with me but I'm not sure if it's because they're girls or my friends..I need some unbiased advice. Is it right to date others while on a break or not?

Please post this on your site. Thanks!

Here's our two cents:

First of all, we think the major problem here is that you did not set the proper guidelines for the break prior to taking it. A break is a very serious thing. A couple who decides to go on a break should use it as a tool to either gain some space, and therefore perspective about their relationship, or distance so they can reassess their problems. Often a couple can get cabin fever, and a trial break is often exactly what the doctor ordered so that they can learn to value each other. However, the dark side of a break, is that it can often be used as the coward's way out of a break up. We don't know who decided on the break, but It sounds to us like your boyfriend is either using the break as a technique to gradually phase out of the relationship, instead of outright ending it. Another scenario is that your boyfriend is either using this as an excuse to be unfaithful, or he simply was not clear on the criteria of the break up. We believe you should both have a long talk about what his actions mean to the relationship as a whole.

Good luck!

Now we leave you to our readers. Go on, help a sister out!

Dear S&H,

I am currently living in London and was thinking of moving back to Egypt since I really miss my friends and family, but I'm not really sure if it's the best decision in these times. I have a great job here and am making great money, but I've been really missing Egypt. When I ask my close friends if the situation is ok for me to move back, they always claim it's fine. But family keep telling me about the baltageya. Do you mind posting this on the site, I'd love some honest feedback from strangers. Is Egypt stable enough for me to move back and find a job? Would you move back? Let me know what you guys think please!

Thanks.

Dear S&H,

I was wondering if you could post this on your website. I recently got married and just realized how genuinely unhappy I am. We've been in love and I thought we knew each other but it turns out marriage is overrated. We are both pretty unhappy and we can't figure out what went wrong. We've known each other for a while and it seems that there are couples that have known each other longer that divorce and couples that have known each other not so long that last. Is there some formula we are unaware of?

We're constantly clashing adn we can't really figure out what went wrong. Any advice from anyone married out there?

Thanks!

Dear S&H,

I know this may sound petty during what's going on in Egypt right now, but this is kind of related I guess! I'm currently living in Cairo and with all that's happened, I got a major pay cut in my company and got a job offer outside Egypt. I feel guilty taking it because I feel bad leaving Egypt now when it needs us, but it's a great job and I'm scared to pass it up and not get an opportunity like this anymore.

Should I stay and stick it through or should I go?

Dear S&H,

Please post this on your site. I am an Egyptian living in America who really wants to do something to help all the victims of the revolution. A bunch of friends have asked what we can do from here. Donations? Supplies? Are there any specific organizations that we can get in touch with that may help? We're dying to do our part, but aren't sure what is needed exactly. Just let know where to go from here and we'll go in that direction.

Thank you.

One of our readers is launching a new business soon and asked us to recommend good PR agencies in Cairo to work with.

While there are a number of multinational and local agencies in Cairo, we figured why not post their inquiry here for you to post your reviews of those that you've worked with.

So go at it Cairo - help a reader out!

Hey S&H,

I just recently moved to Cairo and your site has definitely been a great help in getting to know the city and type of people but I have a question that I was hoping you could post. I'm a vegan and it doesn't seem like Cairo is vegan friendly, and I was wondering if you wouldn't mind posting this so I could get some tips from any vegas or vegetarians living in Egypt? Thanks!
