The Fairmont Nile City has been on a roll this Ramadan with their charitable causes...looks like they're one of the few places that have grasped the essence of this month..

This Wednesday the 1st of September, Cairo 360 and the Fairmont have teamed up to entertain all of Bab el Nil's guests for a good cause...The Percussion show, Eftekasat, and Masar Egbari, are just a few of the people who will be popping by.

Again all proceeds from the night go to Operation Smile.

Are you guys feeling charitable?

Smiles All Over

August 31, 2010

Coke has done it again, part 3 of their happiness campaign is out. The soft drink giants headed to a shopping mall this time, just the looks of suprise and happiness on all the faces of the shoppers alone, really made us smile.

We have to say we haven't seen a creative campaign like this in a long time, not only that but an ad that actually reaches all social classes.

Donia as Shadia

August 30, 2010

We've already seen shows covering the biographies of legendary Egyptian entertainers including Abdel Halim Hafez, Soad Hosni, and Om Kalthoum...now it's Shadia's turn!

Considered one of Egypt's sweethearts of the movie industry, the retired actress will finally have a show about her, starring none other than Donia Samir Ghanem.

Donia's been taking Egypt's movies by storm, proving herself independent from her celebrity dad.

She'll be playing the younger Shadia and her mother will play the part of Shadia's older years.

The show is scheduled to air next Ramadan.

3ayza atgawez!

August 28, 2010

This Ramadan there is one show we haven't stopped hearing about! Hend Sabry's comedy "3ayza atgawez" has been either hated or loved.

We personally think its pretty funny, if you take it for what it is. It's meant to be a slapstick funny show full of habal and overexaggeration, but some people don't like it and that's fair enough.

Hend's show is based on the various outrageous situations that a girl dying to get married encounters. We think it's quite fitting considering the amount of girls in the same predicament!

So everyone either loves it or hates it, what do you guys think??
