We've recently discussed the Cairo cocaine culture, but we've come across something even more despicable.
It turns out that a lot of people in Cairo have been tricked into taking drugs by their very own friends!!
We've been hearing stories from people that have been tricked into trying a drug for the first time, and even worse, we've heard that people have drugged a number of their friends at a time so that everyone is high/tripping/whatever together. One resonating story is of a house party in which someone drugged everyone there! A group of friends found themselves tripping to a drug that someone slipped into their drinks so that everyone would trip together - SERIOUSLY?
That's just disgusting. Not only has our culture taken drugs to an extreme that surpasses other drug cultures, but now this??
From now on, we'll make our own drinks thanks!

Egypt is famous for it's delicious food and now it's taking a stand to make sure that the world knows it belongs to us!
The Daily News recently reported that the Egyptian Oraganization for Standardization and Quality annouced that they will place international standards on Egyptian dishes and give them a patent, just so that no one confuses where koshari really came from! With the patents, the food will be eligible for export into international markets with certified standards.
We love it! We know that there is a lot of controversy over certain Middle Eastern foods that everyone claims is orginally theirs, but there are some foods that are just ours and ours alone! in that case, we don't think that countries will necessarily "claim" that the food is theirs, but its still a great move to make, especially in terms of exporting internationally.
But the important question is - do you think Abdo Talawos and Zezo Natana will pass?
