With the summer being cut short due to Ramadan popping in just around the corner, we ask you all - are you ready?!
Sahel seemed to be cut short this year - a very condensed summer, we must admit!
And it's only going to get shorter and shorter for the next few years. Some are choosing to celebrate the holy month in Sahel nonetheless, probably without Tamarai and Marassi ;) but along the North coast beach nonetheless. The days are getting longer and the summers are getting shorter, but it's the festive month nonetheless!
So what will you be doing this Ramadan? How will it change your summer plans? Who is spending it in Sahel and who's staying in Cairo??
Fill us in!

According to recent reports, the amount of money spent in Egypt on advertising has increased by at least 35% in the last six months....more than advertising in Dubai!
Approximately, Egypt spends $708 million on advertising!
When you think about it though, it costs a few thousand to advertise in a little square in the newspaper and a few mill on the bridges, so we can imagine that it racks up pretty heavy.
Nonetheless, that is not an insignificant amount!
We can't help but ask, does our society value spending more money on advertising than developmental projects? Maybe we should take the billboards and light post ads down a notch and spend a few of those million on more useful and beneficial things!

Seems to be the word that's on everybody's tongue the past day! We were confused at first till we found out what it was...
Of course most of you have probably heard of "Texts from last night" well it looks like it's a similar service but more region friendly?!?
We don't know what to think about it, we sure love that people have gotten the hang of the online world (after us of course) but we can imagine all the trouble that is going to come of this!
Either way check out some of the crazy texts that have been sent in so far :
"I am not sure whats going on, im in the car and shes grabbing my leg in a suggestive manner while calling me Mr , the guy in front keeps winking at me and calling her a farasa, doesnt that mean female horse?"

The famous fashion house Louis Vuitton opened it's first boutique in Beirut last week...and apparently they have their eyes set on Egypt next!
The opening was filed with celebs and designers from all over, including famous the man that made us all melt at the sight of a red-sole, Christian Louboutin.
LV seems to be eyeing Cairo as it's next destination for a boutique...
According to the DailyNewsEgypt who asked the general manager of the brand's ME and India operations (well actually, our featured blogger Heba El Kayal!), he responded that "the Egyptian market has been on our mind for some time and we are in the process of looking for a suitable location. We are planning on perhaps opening within the coming two or three years".
Where do you think it'll open? CityStars?
We are actually surprised that it took this long for LV to open up in Beirut, seeing as how Lebanon is such a fashionista hotspot.
Bring it on LV...and bring your friends! :)
