Yesterday, the Heliopolis Association in cooperation with The Suzanne Mubarak Women's International Peace Movement presented the Korba International Music Festival titled "One World: Music is the Language of Peace"
The event started around 2:30 pm until 10 pm in Baghdad Street in Korba, Heliopolis.
Here's some info on the event:
Under the theme of “One World”, the Festival celebrated the cultures of many different countries. Numerous embassies shared their arts and crafts, music and food, and participated in a parade of Nations. Among the prominent performers were the great musician, Omar Khairat, “Wist El Balad” band and the famous artist, Taha Alkorany, whose name has been documented in the World’s GuinnessBook of Records for painting “Al Mauled”, the longest painting in the world,which was shown in the Festival.
The Korba street festivals are always a good time!

Saudi women have been on a roll lately fighting for their rights and we couldn't blame them! If women in Egypt feel like they're prisoners we don't even want to begin to understand how they feel...
In an attempt to fight for their right to drive, Saudi women are threatening to adopt a controversial fatwa, in order to achieve their goal.
We're sure you have all heard of the the religious fatwa that in order for women to interact with strange men they should breast feed them in order for these men "to become their sons!" YES IT'S RIDICULOUS we know...
The women are threatening to breast feed their drivers or else be given the right to drive and be treated as equal citizens...
As ludicrous as this all sounds we don't think many husbands and fathers will be too fond of this idea...while we're sure the drivers aren't complaining at all!!
